In Teamflect, both admins and people managers can manage and view employee information, depending on how visibility settings are configured.
Admins can control whether managers can access their direct and indirect reports’ private data using the following setting in the Admin Center:
Disable managers’ access to the private data of their direct reports located in the Admin Center > General Settings.
This article explains what managers can and cannot see across modules when this setting is:
along with how indirect managers and organizational hierarchy visibility are handled.
Key Difference: Setting ON vs. OFF
Setting | Meaning | Visibility Impact |
OFF | Managers can access their direct and indirect reports’ private data. | Full visibility across modules. |
ON | Managers’ access to private data is restricted. | Limited visibility; treated as regular employees. |
''My Team'' Tabs and Multi-Level Visibility
Each manager in Teamflect has a “My Team” tab within modules like Goals, Tasks, Feedback, Recognitions, and Surveys.
These tabs show only the direct reports’ items by default.
If a manager/leader/director wants to view data for multiple levels down (e.g., 2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-level, or more indirect reports), that visibility must be manually configured in the Admin Center under Relationships.
Admins can tag managers with their indirect reports and grant managerial access to specific hierarchy levels through relationship mappings.

Summary
When the setting “Disable managers’ access to private data” is off, managers retain full visibility into their direct and indirect reports’ work items, including private data such as goals, feedback, and recognitions.
When it’s on, managers function as regular colleagues with limited access — they’ll see only shared and public items while maintaining visibility into essential details like meeting history and any other items they share with the reportee, such as tasks between them, team goals, etc.
Admins can fine-tune these visibility settings anytime in the Admin Center in their respective sections, as explained in the help articles linked above.
