Once enabled, employees will see visibility options when giving feedback, allowing them to choose how openly their input is shared. This feature helps balance transparency with psychological safety in feedback exchanges.

Step-by-Step Guide to Activating Private Feedback for Your Organization

Note: This article is intended for Teamflect administrators. Only admins can enable or manage the private feedback setting.

Step 1: Access the Admin Center and Navigate to the Feedback Module

  1. Visit admin.teamflect.com and sign in with your admin account.

  2. In the left-hand sidebar, click on Modules.

  3. Select the Feedback tab.

Step 2: Enable Private Feedback

  1. Locate the setting Enable Private Feedback.

  2. Toggle the switch ON.

Once enabled, users will see a Visibility field when sending feedback. They can choose:

  • Visible to the manager only

  • Visible to the feedback recipient and their manager

  • Visible anonymously (private) to the recipient

This flexibility lets users decide how their input is shared.

HR Use Cases

Encourage honest conversations
Let employees provide real feedback on team dynamics or leadership without fear of exposure.

Support developmental feedback
Allow private peer-to-peer feedback for coaching purposes without formal visibility.

Balance transparency and psychological safety
Empower users to decide how vulnerable they want to be when offering feedback—especially in sensitive contexts.

Final Thoughts

Enabling private feedback gives your organization a healthier balance between openness and discretion. With this setting turned on, users can choose how visible their feedback is—building trust and increasing participation in your feedback culture.
