The Configuration Editor role gives you edit access across most of the Teamflect Admin Center — not just user onboarding. Configuration Editors can manage general settings, goal types, review and feedback templates, meeting check-in templates, recognitions, and integrations. The two things Configuration Editors can't do that Global Admins can are view reports and assign admin roles to other users.
Capabilities & Permissions
1. Access to the Admin Center
You can access the Admin Center using the button in the top-right corner of the app, or by visiting its web address directly.
2. User Management
Add, remove, and manage Users in your organization.
Support onboarding by inviting new users.
Manage relationship/manager-source bulk uploads and general user-record settings.
Not included: assigning or changing another user's admin role, viewing the permission-users list, managing user attribute definitions (create/update/delete), or editing another user's manager assignment. These require Global Admin.
3. Goals
Manage goal types (create, edit, rank) and goal type settings.
Access goal bulk upload, goal periods, and goal notification settings.
Manage goal template settings.
Not included: managing or editing goal templates themselves, or using the admin bypass to create goals from restricted template categories — both require Global Admin or a Scoped Admin with the right permissions.
4. Templates
Create, edit, clone, and delete review templates.
Create, edit, clone, and delete feedback and 360-degree feedback templates.
Manage meeting check-in templates, talking points, and keywords.
5. Reviews
Manage review templates, automations, cycles, reminders, and cycle membership.
Change reviewee/reviewer/calibrator assignments and statuses.
Upload reviewee lists and manage cycle links.
6. Recognitions
Create, edit, delete, and rank recognition badges.
Manage birthday and anniversary recognition automations.
7. Surveys & Feedback
Manage feedback questions, 360 cycles and automations, and provider uploads (in addition to the templates above).
8. Integrations
Manage general integration settings.
Manage the Finch integration (view config, sync attributes, sessions, disconnect).
Manage the Tango rewards integration (enable/disable, funding, balance history).
Not included: managing API keys (create/delete/view) or Global-Admin-only AI agent and company-resource indexing settings.
9. Security
View and update the Admin Center IP allowlist.
Like all admins, access is still subject to the IP allowlist itself once it's configured.
What Configuration Editors Can't Do
View reports. Report access is limited to Global Admin, Scoped Admin, and Report Reader.
Assign or change admin roles for other users.
Manage user attribute definitions or view the permission-users list.
Manage API keys or access Global-Admin-only AI agent settings.
Edit or manage goal templates themselves (only the settings around them).
HR Use Cases
Smooth Onboarding: Add new hires promptly so they can access goals, reviews, and feedback from day one.
Data Accuracy: Keep the user directory up to date by removing leavers and updating user lists.
Program Configuration: Set up and maintain review cycles, feedback templates, recognition programs, and goal types without needing full Global Admin access.
Integration Management: Configure and maintain connected tools like Finch and Tango.
Configuration Editors have edit access to nearly every configuration area in the Teamflect Admin Center — goals, reviews, feedback, recognitions, meetings, and integrations — while reporting and admin-role assignment remain reserved for Global Admins. This makes the role well suited for someone managing day-to-day program configuration without needing the full scope of a Global Administrator.
