With the Automated Birthday Recognitions feature, Teamflect will automatically send personalized birthday messages to your employees. This feature allows you to customize the birthday recognition experience to match your company’s branding and values.
Steps to Set Up Automated Birthday Recognitions
Step 1: Ensure Birthdays Are Set Up
Before enabling birthday recognitions, ensure that your users' birthdays are properly set up:
In Microsoft: Confirm that the correct birthday information is stored within your users' Microsoft profiles.
In Teamflect: Alternatively, you can manually input birthday information directly within the Teamflect platform. Click here to learn more.
Step 2: Enable Automated Birthday Recognitions
Once the birthdays are set up:
Go to the Recognition Settings within the Teamflect Admin Center.
Locate the Automated Birthday Recognitions toggle and switch it to “On.”
Step 3: Customize the Birthday Recognition
Teamflect offers a wide range of customization options to make each birthday recognition unique. Here’s what you can personalize:
Background Image: Choose an image to serve as the backdrop for your recognition message, or upload your own.
Badge: Select or design a special birthday badge that will accompany the message.
Message Title & Message: Craft an engaging title for the birthday recognition and then write a personalized or company-branded message to be sent with the badge.
Additional customization options include:
Assigning Points: Optionally, attach a point value to the birthday badge as part of your recognition program.
Alias: Set an alias such as {{Your Company Name}} to ensure your company branding is part of the recognition.
You can share the birthday recognition across your company by connecting a simple webhook. This will allow everyone in the specified Teams channel to receive a notification when a birthday recognition is sent. Watch a short tutorial, and learn how.
Visibility: Choose whether the birthday recognition will be public (visible to everyone in the company) or private (sent directly to the individual, and visible to their managerial hierarchy, and Teamflect admins).
Timing: Schedule when the birthday message will be delivered (e.g., at the start of the recipient’s special day).
Step 4: Preview Upcoming Birthdays
After your setup is complete, you can check for any upcoming birthdays by viewing the ''See Upcoming Birthdays'' section in Teamflect. This feature ensures you can always stay ahead of important dates.
