What Does the Automation Do?
Once configured, Teamflect automatically creates a recognition when an employee's birthday or selected work anniversary milestone occurs. Depending on your settings, the recognition can:
Be sent to the employee being celebrated.
Be visible to others in your organization through the Company Recognitions feed.
Be posted automatically to a selected Microsoft Teams channel.
Include a personalized message, recognition badge, background, and points.
Be sent at the time you specify for the celebration.
This allows your organization to recognize employee milestones consistently without requiring someone to create each recognition manually.
What Can You Customize?
You can customize the automated recognition to match how your organization wants to celebrate birthdays and work anniversaries.

✅ When the settings are enabled
Teamflect uses the configured options when creating the automated recognition. For example, if a Teams channel is selected, the celebration is automatically posted there. If points and a customized message are configured, those are included in the recognition.
❌ When the settings are disabled
The corresponding customization is not applied, and the automation does not perform that action. For example, if birthday celebrations are turned off, Teamflect will not automatically create birthday recognitions. If Teams channel posting is not enabled, the recognition will not be posted to a Teams channel.
Who Can See the Celebration?
The audience depends on the recognition's visibility settings.
For public recognitions, the celebration can be visible to the wider organization through the Company Recognitions feed. If a Microsoft Teams channel is configured, the recognition can also be shared there.
For private recognitions, visibility is more limited and follows Teamflect's recognition privacy rules.
The employee being celebrated receives the recognition regardless of whether the recognition is configured as public or private.
When Are Celebrations Sent?
Birthday recognitions are triggered based on the employee's birthday, while work anniversary recognitions are triggered based on the employee's hire date and the anniversary milestones you have enabled.
You can configure the delivery time so that the recognition is sent at the preferred time on the employee's milestone date.
