Configuring the Birthdays & Anniversaries Widget
Recognizing employee milestones like birthdays and anniversaries goes a long way in strengthening culture and boosting morale across your organization. With Teamflect, admins can easily surface these meaningful dates on the “My Organization” page so the whole team stays aware and engaged.

Benefit: Helps build a community atmosphere by recognizing and celebrating personal milestones within the company.
Preparation Steps
Verify Key Employee Data:
Employee Hire Dates and Birthdays: Check and update employee hire dates and birthdays in Teamflect under Active Users, or contact your IT team if this data is synced with Microsoft Entra ID. You can check the data source under User Attributes.
Accurate Data: Accurate data is essential for the widgets to display upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, and new team member information on the 'My Organization' page.
1. Access the Widget Settings:
Go to Teamflect Admin Center, click on Intranet, scroll to the 'Widgets' section located at the bottom of the page.
2. Enable the Widget:
Find the "Enable birthdays & anniversaries widget" option and toggle the button to 'on'. This action activates the widget.
When the widget is enabled, employees who can access the My Organization page can see upcoming birthdays and work anniversaries.
Privacy Note
Birthdays are personal information, and hire dates are employee data. Make sure these details are accurate and that your organization has the appropriate permission to use and display them. If an employee has concerns about their birthday being shown, they should contact their HR team or Teamflect administrator.
When the toggle is OFF, the Birthdays & Anniversaries widget is disabled and no longer appears on the My Organization page.
Disabling the widget does not, by itself, mean that employee birthdays or hire dates are deleted from Teamflect or Microsoft 365.
3. Functionality:
Once enabled, the system will automatically fetch and display the upcoming birthdays and work anniversaries to all employees on the 'My Organization' page, fostering a sense of community and recognition within the workplace.
