Filtering users by attributes in 360-degree feedback cycles lets HR teams target specific employees based on their department, role, location, tenure, or other profile information. This ensures feedback is relevant, focused, and aligned with organizational goals.
By using this feature, you can control exactly who receives feedback, making your 360-degree review cycles more effective and easier to manage.
How to Filter Users by Attributes
Step 1 - Start the Feedback Cycle
Initiate a 360-degree feedback cycle as you normally would. When prompted to select feedback receivers, choose: “Filter users by attributes”
This option allows you to filter the participants based on predefined user attributes.
Step 2 - Apply Existing Attribute Filters
In the filtering section, you’ll see a list of default filters, including:
Department
Location
Managerial status
To apply a filter, simply use the dropdown menus to select the desired value for each attribute.
Step 3 - Add Additional Filters
Need more granularity? Click “Add filter” to include additional attribute-based criteria.
You can filter users based on any custom attributes your organization has added to Teamflect, such as:
Job Title
Tenure
Business Unit
Seniority Level
9-box Placement
After choosing the attribute, select the appropriate value to refine your target group. You can add more filters by clicking ''Add Filter'' and narrow down your target audience.
New Filter Option: 9-Box Placement
You can now filter users based on their most recent 9-Box evaluation when sending out surveys / starting review cycles / launching 360-degree feedback. In the "Filter users by attributes" section of the user selection modal, a new "9-Box Evaluation" filter is available.
✅ Available values in the dropdown are retrieved from your organization's most recent evaluations, including an option for Not evaluated users.
ℹ️ Note: This filter works independently of the "Display 9-Box evaluations in user profile" setting—it is always visible in the filtering options.
💡 Tooltip: Users can be filtered based on their most recent 9-Box evaluation, with the option to include those who have not yet been evaluated.
Step 4 - Review and Proceed
Once you've configured the filters:
Review the list of matching users
Confirm the selection
Complete the rest of the feedback cycle setup process
Only users who meet the defined criteria will be included in the cycle.
Once selected, apply the filter as previously described by choosing from the available options in the dropdown menu.
Once you've applied the desired filters, review the list of users who match the specified attributes.
Proceed with completing the cycle creation process as usual.
The cycle will only be sent to the users who have the specific attributes you filtered for.
