In Teamflect, administrators can enforce a policy requiring users to add a comment when sending a recognition. This feature helps ensure that recognitions are thoughtful and personal, strengthening the culture of appreciation across your organization.

Step 1: Go to the Admin Center

Visit admin.teamflect.com, log in, and open the Admin Center.

Step 2: Navigate to the Recognitions Module

From the left-hand menu, click Modules > Recognitions.

Step 3: Enable the Required Comment Setting

Toggle on the setting labeled “Require comments while sharing new recognitions.”

  • 🛑 If a user tries to send a recognition without filling in the “Message” field, a warning will appear.

  • ✅ The recognition can only be sent once the message field is filled in.

Why Make Comments Required

  1. Promotes Intentional Appreciation
Ensures that recognitions are tied to specific contributions rather than being generic or obligatory.

  2. Improves Recognition Quality
Thoughtful messages carry more emotional weight and provide clearer context for the praise.

  3. Supports Documentation for Performance Reviews
Well-written recognition comments serve as a useful record when reviewing employee achievements.
