In Teamflect, managers can view not only their direct reports’ reviews but also those of their indirect reports (up to three levels down). This gives leaders and HR a more complete understanding of team performance, helps identify development needs, and supports better organizational planning. There are several ways to access these reviews depending on your role and permissions.

Method 1: Filter by Team (Recommended)

The Filter by Team option in the Reviews About My Team tab helps you explore multi-layered team structures.

To utilize this feature:

1. Open Reviews > Reviews About My Team.

If any of your direct reports also manage teams, the Filter by Team button will appear.

2. A pop-up shows eligible managers and their teams. Expand with the arrow (>) to drill into multiple reporting layers.

Click See team reviews to view that team’s reviews.

3. Use the breadcrumb trail at the top to navigate between levels.

4. Clicking the down arrow next to a breadcrumb item shows a list of that person’s peers in a popover.

5. Click the ✖️ icon inside the Filter by Team button to clear the filter.

🔎 The Filter by Team button appears at the top of the About My Team page only if you have direct reports who also manage others. If no one in your reporting line has a team beneath them, this option won’t be visible.

💡 Tips:

  • Your filter selection and scroll position are remembered if you return.

  • If a team has no reviews, an empty state message will be shown.

Method 2: Using the User Search

  1. On your dashboard, use the User Search bar.

2. Type in the name of the indirect report whose review you wish to view.

3. Once selected employee, it will direct you to their profile page.

4. Navigate to the Reviews section to see past and current reviews.

Method 3: Through the Review Cycle

1. Open the Reviews About My Team tab.

2. Locate your direct report in the review cycle.

3. Click the arrow (>) next to their name to expand their reporting line.

4. Select Open next to an indirect report’s name to view their review.

You can see reviews for indirect reports up to three levels deep.

You can also view the 'Team Insights' for the team members of your direct reports, just as you do for your direct team.

Method 4: Check Administrative Settings

If you cannot see indirect reports’ reviews, it may be due to a setting enabled by your admins:

“Disable managers’ access to the private data of their direct reports.”

This setting is designed to protect the privacy of employee evaluations and may restrict visibility beyond direct reports.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Verify permissions: Make sure you have the necessary permissions to view indirect reports' reviews. If unsure, check with your HR department or Teamflect administrator.

  • Consult your administrator: If you believe an administrative setting is preventing access to reviews, discuss this with your organization’s Teamflect administrator. They can provide insights or adjust settings to enable appropriate access.

By following these steps, you should be able to access the reviews of your indirect reports in Teamflect, provided that there are no restrictive settings applied by your organization.

Note: For clarification, please reach out to your Teamflect Administrators. If you're unsure who they are, refer to the resource here.
