In the landscape of performance reviews, having insights from multiple managers can be invaluable. At Teamflect, we understand the need to adapt our tools to fit complex review scenarios. Although our platform does not directly support assigning a review to two reviewers simultaneously, we offer several effective workarounds to accommodate multiple perspectives. Here’s how you can implement these strategies:
1. Invite Others for Comments
While setting up the review template, you may notice the step named “review result section.” Here, you can enable the “invite others for comments” option. This feature allows multiple people to contribute by commenting on the review. Although they won’t be able to answer the questions directly like the primary reviewer, they can still provide valuable input in the results section. This invitation can be sent by either the initial reviewer or an admin.

2. Changing the Reviewer Mid-Process
For scenarios where both managers need to answer the same review questions, another workaround is available.
Initially, let the first reviewer complete their evaluation and submit it.
Next, navigate to the “admin center,” locate the “review cycles,” and use the “see/update reviews” option.
Here, you can change the current reviewer to the second manager.
Remember to check the option “keep the current reviewer's answers” to ensure continuity.
After adjusting the status to “waiting for reviewer,” the second manager can view and respond to the same questions in the comment boxes.
This approach effectively allows both managers to share their insights without initiating separate review cycles.

3. Leveraging 360-Degree Feedback
To incorporate feedback from secondary or indirect managers, consider enabling the 360-degree feedback feature in the review template.
Make sure to activate the “ask from supervisors/indirect managers” section. This setup allows feedback requests to be directed towards the second manager either automatically at the start of the review cycle or on an ad-hoc basis by the reviewer, admin, or reviewee during the process.
The admin has the option to pre-define feedback providers by uploading a document or allow for more flexible feedback solicitation. You can explore how to set this up in our article.
