When this feature is enabled, any user whose Microsoft 365 Office account is removed from Azure AD will be automatically deleted from Teamflect as well.
This means you no longer need to manually track or clean up inactive Teamflect licenses; Teamflect will stay aligned with your Microsoft 365 directory.
How to Enable Automatic Synchronization
Step 1 — Open the Admin Center
Click Admin Center in the upper-right corner of Teamflect.
Step 2 — Go to Active Users
In the left-hand menu, select Users → Active Users.
Step 3 — Turn on Directory Sync
Under the User data sync sources > Microsoft 365, locate
“Automatically synchronize Microsoft 365 directory with Teamflect.”
Toggle the switch on to activate the feature.
Enabling or disabling this setting requires Admin Consent for Microsoft 365. If you need guidance on granting consent, refer to our help article on How to Provide Admin Consent.
Enabled vs. Disabled
Setting / Scenario | What Happens |
Enabled | Teamflect automatically synchronizes with Microsoft 365. Users deleted from Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) are removed from Teamflect after synchronization completes. |
Disabled | Automatic directory synchronization is turned off. Users deleted from Microsoft Entra ID remain in Teamflect until an administrator removes them manually. |
User data after removal | Removing a user from Teamflect does not automatically delete their historical records. Reviews, goals, tasks, and other historical data remain available to administrators, subject to their permissions. |
License usage | Removing a user from the Active Users list frees up their Teamflect license allocation, where applicable. |
Other directory changes | When synchronization is enabled, it also updates supported user attributes, such as name, email, job title, department, and manager information. The feature is not limited to removing deleted users. |
