Teamflect imports employee information from your company’s Microsoft Azure Active Directory into the platform. For a quicker alternative, you can also add or remove people directly through the Teamflect app.

How to Remove Direct Reports in Teamflect

Step 1

To delete your direct reports, first, open the Teamflect home page.

Step 2

Find the person you want to delete and click on it.

Step 3

Click the "Direct Report X" button on the top left of the page.

Step 4

Then click "Confirm" to remove.

HR Use Cases

  1. Organizational Restructuring
When departments or reporting lines are restructured, outdated direct report relationships should be removed to reflect the new chain of command and ensure appropriate data access.

  2. Employee Offboarding
If an employee leaves the organization, HR or the manager should remove them as a direct report in Teamflect to revoke access to private performance content and deactivate unnecessary relationships.

  3. Temporary or Project-Based Oversight Ends
In matrix or project-based organizations, certain employees may have temporary dotted-line managers. Once the project concludes, HR can remove the temporary supervisory relationship to restore the standard structure.

Final Thoughts

Removing a direct report in Teamflect is more than a housekeeping task—it’s a critical step in maintaining data integrity, confidentiality, and clear managerial responsibilities across your performance management system.

Ensuring that only the correct people have access to private goals, feedback, and reviews helps HR uphold trust, accountability, and compliance in every stage of the employee lifecycle.
