Enable free-form feedback in Teamflect’s Feedback module
Note: This article is intended for Teamflect administrators only.
Enabling free-form feedback in Teamflect gives users the flexibility to provide open-ended, personalized responses rather than being limited to predefined templates. Once enabled, users will see Free Form as an option in the feedback template dropdown.
Step 1: Access the Admin Center and the Feedback Module
Go to https://admin.teamflect.com and log in with your admin account. From the left-hand navigation bar, click Modules, then select the Feedback tab.
Step 2: Enable the free-form feedback setting
Find the option labeled Allow free-form feedback and toggle it ON.
✅ When enabled: Users will see Free Form in the feedback template dropdown when giving feedback.
❌ When disabled: This option will be hidden from all users.
What End-Users Will See
When the setting is enabled, users will see Freeform in the template dropdown, as shown below:

They will also be able to adjust Visibility using the dropdown beneath the template field. Visibility options typically include:
Visible to the Teamflect Administrators and manager only
Visible to the manager and the feedback recipient
Visible to the manager and anonymously visible to the feedback recipient

1. Customized feedback for special situations
Allow employees to give personalized recognition or constructive feedback that doesn't fit standard templates.
2. Feedback for individual development goals
Support unique coaching plans or growth areas by encouraging flexible, context-aware responses.
3. Project-specific evaluations
Enable feedback specific to ad hoc projects or task-based performance, where standardized templates may not apply.
