Self-assessments give you insight into how your team members view their own performance, progress, and challenges. With Teamflect, managers can easily request self-assessments from direct reports to support more meaningful 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and development conversations.

This guide walks you through selecting the right review template, choosing the direct report, adding context or due dates, and sending the request so your team member can complete their self-reflection.

Step-by-Step Guide to Initiating Self-Assessments in Teamflect

Step 1: Open the Feedback module

Open the Feedback module from the left navigation bar in Teamflect.

Step 2: Click the "New Feedback" button and select "360-degree feedback"

In the top-right corner, click New Feedback, then choose 360-degree feedback in the pop-up window.

You’ll see two options:

  • To myself: Select this if you want to complete your own self-assessment using available templates.

  • Ask someone on my team: Choose this to request a self-assessment from a direct report.

Step 3: Select the team member and template

Choose:

  • A team member

  • A 360-degree feedback template
    Optionally, include a message.

The team member will receive a notification to complete the self-assessment.

Note: In order to perform a self-assessment, a 360-degree feedback template with this section enabled must be selected. You can indicate which templates have this section enabled by including this information in the template title or description.
