Teamflect allows you to create and assign tasks directly within Microsoft Teams chats or channels — without leaving the conversation.
This integration helps teams turn everyday discussions into actionable tasks instantly, ensuring that nothing important gets lost in chat threads.

You can create a task either by using the “More actions” menu on a message or by adding the Teamflect app shortcut to your chat toolbar.

Steps to Create a Task in a Teams Chat Conversation

Step 1

To create a task, please click the "..." button that appears right above a chat message.

Step 2

When the menu opens, click "More actions" and then click "New Teamflect task"

Step 3

Add details of the task using the pop-up window and click create.

Step 4

Once you click Create, Teamflect will create the task and notify the relevant people. If you want to share this task inside of your Teams chat conversation, just hit enter and post it.

Which will look like the below screenshot:

Alternative Way

There is also a second way to send tasks via chat. Find the plus (+) icon among the icons next to the the new message bar and click on it.

Then, click on the Teamflect app. (If not added already, please click on the ''Get more app'' option.)

Then, click on the three dots in the tab and select “New Teamflect Task.”

Follow the same steps as when creating a task within the application and click the “Create” button.

Your task will appear in the chat. Now, you can send your task by clicking the “Send Message” button.

HR Use Cases

  1. Real-Time Task Delegation During 1-on-1s
Managers can quickly convert action items from chat discussions into formal tasks during or after performance conversations.

  2. Cross-Department Collaboration
HR, IT, or Operations teams working on shared initiatives can assign follow-up actions instantly from chat discussions — reducing meeting overhead.

  3. Onboarding and Training Follow-Ups
HR or team leads can create immediate onboarding tasks directly from new hire chats, ensuring clear next steps and accountability.

Final Thoughts

Creating tasks directly within Microsoft Teams streamlines collaboration and accountability across your organization.
By integrating Teamflect’s task creation feature into daily communication, teams can transform conversations into actions — keeping objectives on track without switching between tools.
