How to Enable or Disable the Company Recognition Leaderboard in Teamflect

Learn how to manage Teamflect's Company Recognition Leaderboard and customize recognition visibility.

Written by Myka

Teamflect’s Company Recognition Leaderboard displays top recognition recipients based on badge count and total points. This leaderboard view can foster friendly competition or be turned off to reduce pressure and encourage inclusive participation.

Note: Admins have full control over whether this dashboard appears to users

How to Enable or Disable the Recognition Dashboard

  1. Go to admin.teamflect.com and open the Admin Center.

  2. From the left-hand menu, select Modules > Recognitions.

  3. Locate the setting for Company Recognition Dashboard and toggle it on or off as desired.

What Happens When You Disable It

  • The Recognition Dashboard on the right-hand side of the Recognitions module will disappear.

  • Users won’t be able to view top performers in badge count or points.

What Happens When You Enable It

  • A Leaderboard view will become available alongside the traditional Classic view in the Recognitions module.

  • A Leaderboard section will also appear on the Home Page > My Team area.

  • Users (people managers) can click "See my team's recognitions" to navigate directly to the "My Team" recognitions tab.

Enabling this setting will not only activate the Company Recognition dashboard within the Recognitions module but also seamlessly integrate the leaderboard into the "My Team" tab, significantly improving visibility and ease of access for users.

When to Use or Pause the Company Recognition Dashboard

  1. Gamifying Engagement
Enable the dashboard to encourage healthy competition and boost morale across departments or project teams.

  2. Supporting Inclusion Goals
Disable the dashboard temporarily to reduce visibility of competitive metrics, especially if feedback shows it discourages quieter or introverted contributors.

  3. Leadership and Culture Change Periods
During leadership transitions or culture shifts, turn off the leaderboard to emphasize intrinsic motivation and thoughtful appreciation over rankings.

Use Cases

Recognizing High-Performing Teams During Engagement Campaigns

Visibility into recognitions can encourage participation, increase peer-to-peer appreciation, and help HR teams reinforce a culture of recognition across the organization.

Supporting Fairness Reviews and Recognition Analysis

Disable the dashboard temporarily when HR is reviewing recognition trends, participation rates, or potential recognition bias across teams. This allows leaders to focus on analyzing recognition data and improving program effectiveness without emphasizing rankings during the review period.

Adapting Recognition Programs for Different Workforce Groups

Organizations with diverse workforce needs may choose to enable the dashboard for departments that respond well to gamification while pausing it during onboarding periods, training programs, or team-building initiatives where collaboration and learning are the primary focus. This flexibility helps align recognition visibility with organizational goals and employee experience.
