Teamflect makes it easy to assign competencies to multiple job titles at once using a simple Excel upload process. This bulk assignment method helps save valuable time, minimizes manual effort, and ensures consistent competency mapping across your organization’s roles.
Whether you're building out your career framework for the first time or updating existing role profiles, using Excel allows for a faster and more scalable approach.
Follow the detailed steps below to complete the process:
📍 Uploading the Competencies:
1. Navigate to the Admin Center
Begin by logging into Teamflect and heading to the Admin Center.
2. Open the Career Section
In the left-hand navigation menu, go to Career and then select the Roles (Job Titles) section.
3. Click “Upload Competencies to Roles via Excel:
In the top-right corner of the Roles page, click the Upload Competencies to Roles via Excel button.
4. Download the Excel Template
Click Download Template to get the pre-formatted Excel file you'll use to assign competencies.
5. Fill in the Template
In the Excel file, select the Job Titles from the dropdown list provided in the first column.
In the corresponding columns, choose the competencies you want to assign to each job title.
Optionally, you can assign a weight to each competency to indicate its importance for that specific role.
💡 Tip: We recommend keeping weights consistent across similar roles to maintain fair evaluation standards.
6. Upload the Completed File
Once you’ve filled out the template:
Return to the Roles section in Teamflect.
Click Upload and select your completed Excel file.
Teamflect will automatically validate the file for any missing or incorrect data.
7. Confirmation
Once validation is successful, your competencies will be assigned to the selected job titles.
You’re All Set!
Your job titles now have the relevant competencies assigned to them, making it easier to align performance reviews, development plans, and career progression paths across your organization.
