Assigning weights to competencies in the Career Module enables a more tailored evaluation process, allowing specific competencies to carry varying levels of importance. Here's how you can set it up and use it effectively:

Assigning Weights to Competencies

  1. Navigate to the Career Module: Open the Career Module in Teamflect to start assigning weights.

  2. Access the Roles Section: In the Career Module, locate and open the Roles section.

  3. Edit the Role: Identify the role for which you want to assign competency weights. Click Edit to modify the role details.

  4. Assign Weights to Competencies:

    • Review the list of competencies associated with the selected role.

    • Assign specific weights to each competency based on their importance to the role.

  5. Save Changes: Ensure you save your updates to make the assigned weights effective for the role.

Using Weights in Reviews

  1. Start a Review: Initiate a review process for the role with the updated competencies.

  2. Competency-Related Questions: Include competency-related questions in the evaluation form, ensuring they align with the competencies and weights defined in the Career Module. Make sure to include them in the Review Results Section too.

The Review results section should have the criterion for the competencies:

  3. Scoring and Weights: During the review, scores given to competency-related questions will be influenced by the weights assigned:

    • The system uses the weights to calculate an average score for the competencies evaluated.

    • Higher-weighted competencies will have a greater impact on the overall competency score.

Benefits of Assigning Weights

  • Custom Evaluation: Tailor the evaluation process to reflect the specific priorities of each role.

  • Balanced Feedback: Ensure that critical competencies receive appropriate emphasis in performance assessments.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage weighted averages to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement effectively.

By setting up weights for competencies, you create a more precise and meaningful evaluation process that aligns with the unique requirements of each role.
