In this guide, we’ll show you how to enable notifications for employee contact emails within the Admin Center. This feature ensures that employees with a company email address, but without access to their company email inbox for notifications, can still receive important updates.

Functionalities: Enabling the “Enable notifications for alternate emails” setting allows employees to receive notifications at their alternate email addresses, even if they are not using their company email inbox to receive notifications.

Benefits: Employees who don’t use their company email inbox will still receive notifications at their alternate email address. Important updates, like birthdays or anniversaries, will be delivered to the alternate email. This ensures communication reaches employees who may not regularly check their company email inbox.

How to Enable Notifications for Alternate Emails

1. Log into Admin Center:

Log in to your Admin Center at https://admin.teamflect.com

2. Navigate to Settings:

Once logged in, go to the "Settings" section in the main menu.

3. Go to Notification Settings:

Under "Settings," select "Notification Settings."

4. Enable Notifications for Alternate Emails:

Find the option labeled “Enable notifications for alternate emails.” Toggle it to ON to start sending notifications to employees' alternate email addresses.

5. Activate Contact Email for Active Users:

Once this setting is enabled, the "Contact email" field for Active Users will be available. To assign a contact email, follow the steps in this article: How to Assign a Contact Email to Users.

Beneficial Use Cases:

  1. Stay Connected with Remote Employees: Remote employees who don't have regular access to Teams will still receive important updates via email.

  2. Timely Birthday and Anniversary Notifications: Employees can receive timely alerts about company birthdays or work anniversaries, even if they're not logged into Teams.

  3. Ensure Notifications for Non-Teams Users: Employees without a Teams account can still be kept in the loop with important organizational updates via their contact emails.
