This enhancement provides admins with greater flexibility to tailor goal periods to their organization’s unique structure.

Admins can:

  • Set Custom Names: Rename goal periods to better reflect your organization's terminology (e.g., rename Q2 to "Spring Quarter").

  • Adjust Timeframes: Modify the start and end dates for goal periods to fit your business needs.

  • Full Customization: Manage everything from the Admin Center, giving you complete control over goal period personalization.

Step 1: Access the Admin Center

Navigate to the Admin Center → Goals Module.

Step 2: Customize Goal Periods

  • Adjust the timeframes for each goal period.

  • Rename the periods to align with your organization’s terminology.

Step 3: Enable Custom Date Selection

Ensure the “Allow custom date selection for goal creation” setting is enabled.
This allows users to:

  • View goals based on these customized periods.

  • Filter their goals by these periods directly in the app.

Why This Matters

  • Better Alignment: Match goal periods with your company’s specific workflows and schedules.

  • Improved Organization: Help users structure and filter their goals more effectively.

  • Enhanced Experience: Create a goal-setting process that feels more intuitive and personalized for your team.

Use Cases:

  1. Custom review cycles – HR teams rename “Quarter 1” to “Spring Review Cycle” to match the company’s evaluation terminology.

  2. Non-standard fiscal years – Organizations with fiscal years starting in July can manually set and rename periods to align with their calendar.

  3. Project-based goal cycles – Instead of time-bound quarters, companies rename periods to “Project Alpha Goals” or “Launch Phase Goals.”

  4. Industry-specific cycles – Schools or universities rename periods to “Fall Semester Goals” and “Spring Semester Goals” for alignment with the academic year.

  5. Flexibility for adjustments – If a period needs to be shortened or extended due to business changes, admins can manually update and rename it to reflect the new reality.

Take full advantage of this feature to streamline your goal management process and make it work for your team’s unique needs!
