Labels in Teamflect let you categorize and organize goals so you can quickly see priority, department, or progress at a glance. They make tracking and managing multiple goals easier for HR, managers, and employees. Admins control which labels are available, while users can assign existing labels to their goals without changing the system setup.

How to Add Labels to Goals

  1. Open a Goal

    • In the Teamflect application, click on the goal you want to categorize.

  2. Locate the Labels Section

    • On the right-hand side of the goal detail view, find the Labels section.

  3. Add a Label

    • Click Add.

    • Select the desired label and click Done.

    • Repeat the process if you’d like to assign multiple labels.

You can now filter through goal labels as follows:

Note: Labels can only be created or customized by administrators in the Admin Center. End-users can only assign from the existing set. Please see the following for more information: Creating Goal Labels

HR-Focused Use Cases

1. Goal Prioritization

HR and managers can use labels such as “High Priority” or “Urgent” to help employees focus on the most impactful objectives, especially during performance cycles or critical business initiatives.

2. Departmental Organization

By applying labels like “Sales,” “Marketing,” or “HR,” organizations can quickly segment goals across departments. This helps HR track alignment at both departmental and company-wide levels without needing complex reports.

3. Progress Monitoring and Intervention

Labels such as “On Track,” “Delayed,” or “Completed” give HR and managers instant visibility into goal progress. This makes it easier to identify potential roadblocks early and provide timely coaching or support.

Best Practice

Use this feature when:

  • You need a quick visual way to categorize and prioritize goals.

  • HR or managers want to track departmental or organizational alignment.

  • Monitoring progress or performance at a glance is helpful.

Avoid using this feature when:

  • The goal does not need categorization.

  • Custom labels would create confusion or inconsistency (let admins manage label creation).
