Overview

Teamflect allows administrators to control whether users can export goals and who has access to this feature. This ensures that sensitive goal data is only accessible to the appropriate users within your organization.

With these settings, admins can:

  • Enable or disable goal exporting across the platform

  • Restrict export permissions to specific user roles

Before you start

  • You must have Admin access in Teamflect

  • Navigate to the Admin Center

  • Locate the Goals module settings

How to Manage Goal Export Permissions

Step 1: Go to Goal Settings

In the Admin Center, navigate to the Goals module settings.

Step 2: Enable or Disable Goal Export

Locate the Allow goal export setting and toggle it:

  • Enabled: Allows users to export goals from the Goals module

  • Disabled: Prevents all users from exporting goals

Step 3: Select Who Can Export Goals

If goal export is enabled, use the Who can export goals dropdown to define access:

  • Everyone: All users can export goals

  • Managers and admins: Only managers and admins can export

  • Admins only: Only admins can export goals

Step 4: Save changes

The update is automatically saved once the changes have been configured.

Use Cases

1. Restricting Sensitive Data Access

Organizations can limit export permissions to admins only to ensure that confidential goal data is not widely distributed.

2. Enabling Managers to Report on Teams

Allowing managers to export goals helps them analyze team performance and share updates with leadership.

3. Company-Wide Transparency

Granting access to everyone supports a transparent culture where employees can track and report on goal progress independently.

Final Thoughts

Managing goal export permissions gives you full control over how goal data is shared within your organization. By aligning these settings with your company’s data policies, you can balance accessibility with security.
