Teamflect allows you to initiate video calls directly from a user’s profile. However, if Microsoft Teams is not set as your default calling app, the call may be routed through another program (e.g., Zoom, Skype, Webex). Follow the steps below to use Teamflect seamlessly with Microsoft Teams.

📞 How to Start a Video Call in Teamflect

  1. Go to a user’s profile page in Teamflect

  2. Click the video call icon located just below their profile photo

  3. Teamflect will attempt to launch the call using your default calling app

🛑 If Microsoft Teams is not your default, the call may launch in a different application.

🖥️ Set Microsoft Teams as the Default Calling App on Windows

  1. Search for "Default Apps" in the Windows Start menu

  2. Click “Choose default apps by protocol”

  3. Scroll down to find “CALLTO” in the list

  4. Click and select Microsoft Teams as the default app

🍎 Set Microsoft Teams as the Default Calling App on Mac

  1. Open the FaceTime app

  2. In the top menu, click FaceTime > Preferences

  3. Under the Settings tab, find “Default for calls”

  4. From the dropdown, select Microsoft Teams

✅ Final Notes

By setting Microsoft Teams as your default calling app, you ensure:

  • Consistent experience across all calls initiated from Teamflect

  • Smooth integration within your Microsoft 365 ecosystem

  • Fewer disruptions caused by third-party conferencing tools
