In Teamflect, when you remove a relationship from your Relationships section (previously "Focus People"), that action is mutual, the other person is removed from your list, and you are also removed from theirs.

This ensures clean visibility across the platform and keeps the "My Team" tab up to date with only your current relationships.

What Happens Behind the Scenes?

  1. Navigate to the user’s page via User Search or by clicking their profile on your homepage.

  2. Click the “X” icon next to the relationship tag.

  3. Confirm the removal in the pop-up dialog.

Once confirmed:

  • The user disappears from your Relationships list.

  • You also disappear from their Relationships list.

  • Access to private data (if previously granted) will be removed for the relevant party.

  • The removed user will no longer appear under the “My Team” tab.

🔔 Note: The other party is not notified when you remove the relationship.

HR Use Cases

  1. Role Transition or Offboarding
Remove relationships for employees leaving the team or changing roles to maintain access boundaries.

  2. Mentorship or Project Completion
End temporary relationships after a program or project ends without needing admin intervention.

  3. Correcting Mistaken Relationships
Quickly fix erroneous connections while ensuring both parties’ data access is revoked.

Final Thoughts

Teamflect’s relationship removal process is designed for discreet and accurate organizational maintenance. Whether you're updating team structures, cleaning up your "My Team" view, or ending temporary arrangements, removing a relationship is a secure and silent action—no alerts, no disruptions.

Make sure to review the relationship type settings before creating or removing access-enabled roles to maintain appropriate visibility across your teams.
