Review appeals allow employees to request a re-evaluation of a completed performance review. Once a review is locked, the reviewee can submit an appeal to their reviewer and explain what they would like reconsidered. Teamflect notifies administrators, who can provide a written response through the reviewer's review.
How Review Appeals Work
Step 1: Open the locked review and submit an appeal
Once a performance review reaches a locked status, the reviewee can submit an appeal. The reviewee submits an appeal explaining which part of the review they would like to have re-evaluated. Each reviewer can receive only one appeal for a review.
Step 2: Receive an appeal notification
When an appeal is submitted, Teamflect notifies Teamflect administrators and creates a pending action for them. The appeal is permanently saved to the reviewer.
Step 4: Review and respond to the appeal as an administrator
Teamflect administrators can access the appeal through the reviewer's review. They can read the reviewee's explanation and provide a written response from within the review.
What to Know About Review Appeals

HR Use Cases
1. Requesting a re-evaluation
An employee disagrees with a performance rating and submits an appeal explaining which part of the evaluation they would like reconsidered.
2. Supporting a performance review discussion
HR administrators receive a notification when an appeal is submitted and can provide a written response through the reviewer's review.
3. Addressing concerns about evaluation fairness
An employee believes that part of their evaluation does not reflect their work. The appeal gives them a way to document their concern for the reviewer and administrators to review.
