When goal approval is enabled in your organization, newly created goals may require approval from your manager before they become active. Teamflect makes it easy to track the status of your submitted goals, review feedback from your manager, and make updates when changes are requested.

  • If you are a Teamflect Admin, you can configure your Goal Approval here.

  • If you are a Manager, you can refer to our guide on Goal Approval here.

Where can employees find goals awaiting approval?

Employees can view the approval status of their goals from several areas in Teamflect.

1. Pending Actions on the Homepage

Open the Teamflect homepage and locate the Pending Actions section.

If you have goals awaiting approval, you will see a card indicating the number of goals currently pending review by your manager. Select the card to view all goals awaiting approval.

2. My Goals Section

Navigate to the Goals section from the left-hand menu.

Goals that are awaiting approval will display their current approval status, allowing you to easily identify which goals are still under review.

3. Goal Details Page

You can also open any individual goal to view its approval status.

From the goal details page, you can:

  • View whether the goal is awaiting approval.

  • See if your manager has approved or rejected the goal.

  • Review any comments or feedback provided during the approval process.

  • Make updates if changes have been requested.

Understanding Goal Approval Statuses

As your goal moves through the approval workflow, you may see one of the following statuses:

Pending Approval

The goal has been submitted and is currently awaiting review by your manager.

Approved

Your manager has approved the goal, and it is now active under the My Goals tab. You can begin tracking progress and updating the goal as needed.

Changes Requested

Your manager has reviewed the goal and requested updates before it can be approved. If changes are required, you will be notified, and the goal status will be updated to "Changes Requested."

  1. Open the goal to review your manager's feedback.

  2. Update the goal based on the requested changes.

  3. Resubmit the goal for approval.

Rejected

Your manager has rejected the goal. Rejected goals are automatically removed. Please check your notifications for the reason and submit a new goal if needed.

📌 Note: Whenever a goal is updated, it will be sent back for approval and reviewed by the approver again before the changes take effect.
