Before rolling out Teamflect to your organization, you may want to test its features, validate your configurations, or conduct internal training sessions. At this time, testing is supported within your own Microsoft 365 environment, allowing you to experience Teamflect using your organization's users, permissions, and settings.
This article explains how to set up and use test accounts for a realistic testing experience.
Test in Your Own Microsoft Environment
If you’d like to test Teamflect using your own settings, permissions, and workflows, the recommended approach is to create dummy user accounts in your Microsoft environment.
For example:
(Some customers even name them creatively: think Tinker Bell and Peter Pan 😄)
Why this works well
Once these accounts exist, you can:
Add them to Teamflect
Assign manager–direct report relationships
Use them safely for training sessions, internal workshops, or pilot rollouts
This allows you to run realistic demos without using your own profile or exposing real employee data.
How to set it up
Ask your IT team to create the dummy Microsoft accounts
(Creating Microsoft email accounts is free, but requires IT support.)Go to Admin Center → Active Users → Invite/Add Users
Add the dummy users to Teamflect
Assign the appropriate roles and reporting relationships
Log in as those users for testing or training
This setup is especially effective for hands-on enablement and internal dry runs before going live.
