Task groups let you assign a set of related tasks to your team in one step. Instead of creating tasks one by one, you can use pre-built groups (like onboarding or training) to save time and keep processes consistent.

What you’ll achieve:
After assigning a task group, your team members will instantly receive all selected tasks, and you’ll be able to track their progress directly in Teamflect.

Assigning a Task Group

Step 1:

Go to the Tasks module in Teamflect. If task groups are enabled for managers, the New Task button will appear as a split button.

  • Create new task (default)

  • Assign task group (dropdown option)

Step 2:

Click on "Create from task group" to view the task groups available.

Step 3:

Choose a task group from the list of available options.

Step 4:

Select the team members (direct reports) who should receive the tasks.

Step 5:

Select the tasks within the task group that you wish to assign to your direct report/s. Click Assign to assign them to your direct reports.

A confirmation message will appear once the task group has been successfully assigned, and notifications will be sent to the selected team members.

Note: Only task groups with the manager assignment toggle enabled will be visible to managers for assignment.

By enabling assignable task groups, organizations can streamline routine workflows, promote consistency across teams, and help managers save time in assigning repeatable sets of tasks.

Use Cases:

  1. Employee Onboarding: Managers can quickly assign a standard onboarding checklist to new hires, ensuring all required steps are tracked and completed.

  2. Training Programs: Recurring training modules can be grouped and assigned as a single task group to relevant employees.

  3. Performance or Compliance Processes: Task groups can be used to assign recurring tasks related to compliance checks, goal follow-ups, or performance review preparations.

  4. Offboarding Procedures: When an employee leaves the organization, managers can assign a predefined offboarding task group to make sure all required actions are completed consistently.
