You can:
Decide whether signatures are required from the reviewee, reviewer, or both.
Customize the signing order (reviewee first, reviewer first, or no restriction).
Simplify workflows for informal reviews while still ensuring accountability for formal ones.

HR Use Cases
1. Reviewer-Only Signatures for Performance Check-ins
For informal or one-directional reviews, requiring only the reviewer’s signature simplifies the process while maintaining a record.
2. Reviewee-First Signatures in 360-Degree Reviews
Having the reviewee sign first ensures employees acknowledge feedback before reviewers finalize, encouraging transparency and accountability.
3. Both Signatures in Formal Performance Appraisals
For annual reviews or probation evaluations, requiring both signatures ensures a formal acknowledgment of the review outcome.
Final Thoughts
By setting signature requirements in review templates, administrators gain flexibility to tailor the review process to its context—whether it’s a quick check‑in, a peer feedback cycle, or a formal annual appraisal. This ensures reviews are both efficient and appropriately validated.
