Customize Email and Teams Notifications to Stay in Control of Your Workflow
Teamflect uses both email and Microsoft Teams bot notifications to keep users informed about important updates, reminders, and actions across the platform.
While most users find these reminders helpful, frequent activity in Teamflect may result in too many notifications. Here’s how you can adjust your notification settings to better suit your preferences.
🔔 Option 1: Use the Bell Icon on the Home Page
Log in to your Teamflect account.
Navigate to the Home page.
In the top-right corner (next to your profile photo), click the bell icon to access your notifications.
4. Click the "Settings" button within the notification panel to adjust preferences.
Option 2: From the User Settings Menu
In the top-right corner, click your profile icon, then select My Settings from the drop-down menu.
On the "My Settings" page, scroll down to find "Notification Settings."
Here you can manage various aspects of your notifications:
Notification Frequency
Choose how often you receive alerts:
Instantly
Never
Notification Channels
Choose your preferred notification method:
Email
Microsoft Teams
Both (default setting)
Module Notifications
Enable or disable notifications per module using toggle switches.
To customize even further:
Click the arrow beside each module name to expand sub-categories
Turn off specific types of notifications (e.g., feedback requests, goal updates, review deadlines)
Note for Notifications Under Admin Control: In some cases, your admin may centrally manage notification settings. If so, you might not be able to change notification preferences for certain modules. A message will appear if a setting is locked.
Beneficial Use Cases
Reducing Notification Overload
Employees who receive frequent updates from goals, feedback, reviews, and tasks can customize their notification settings to focus only on the alerts that matter most. This helps reduce distractions while still keeping important reminders visible.Personalizing Communication Preferences
Users can choose whether they want to receive notifications through email, Microsoft Teams, or both depending on how they prefer to work. This allows employees to stay informed in a way that best fits their daily workflow and communication habits.Improving Focus During Busy Work Periods
During performance review cycles, onboarding periods, or large projects, users can temporarily disable non-essential module notifications while keeping critical reminders active. This helps teams stay productive without missing important deadlines or updates.
