Impersonation is a feature in Teamflect that enables administrators to temporarily access another user's account without needing their login credentials. This feature is designed to assist with troubleshooting, providing support, and ensuring smooth user experiences.

Impersonation is a powerful tool for:

Quickly identify and resolve issues by stepping into the user’s experience directly.

Provide in-app guidance and walk users through features without needing screenshots or lengthy explanations.

Verify that roles, permissions, and visibility settings are configured correctly.

Test specific user configurations, workflows, or feature access without relying solely on user reports.
How to Impersonate a User
To impersonate a user, follow these steps:
1. Access User Profile:
Log in to your Teamflect account.
2. Locate Profile Picture:
In the Teamflect app, you'll find your profile picture in the bottom left corner. Click on it to access the impersonation function.
3. Impersonation Option:
You will see an option to "Impersonate." Click on this option.
4. User Selection:
Enter the name or email address of the user you want to impersonate. Teamflect will suggest matching users as you type.
5. Confirm Impersonation:
Once you've selected the user, confirm the impersonation. You will now be using Teamflect as if you were that user.

All impersonation activities are securely logged for auditing and accountability at https://admin.teamflect.com/#/security/impersonationlogs.
Only global administrators can use this feature.
The impersonated user is not notified to maintain the integrity of troubleshooting sessions.
