Feedback requests in Teamflect include an expiration time that determines how long providers have to respond. By default, this timeframe helps keep feedback cycles timely and relevant, but you might want to adjust it to fit your team’s workflow.

This article explains whether individuals can modify the default expiration on their own requests, how expiration settings are applied, and what options administrators can configure at the system level. Understanding these settings ensures your feedback requests stay open for the right amount of time and align with your review or development cadence.

Step 1: Access the Admin Center

Go to https://admin.teamflect.com and navigate to the Modules section using the left navigation bar. Then click on the Feedback tab.

Step 2: Set the default expiration time

Find the setting labeled Set default feedback request expiration time.

  • You can choose a value between 1 and 8 weeks

  • The default is 2 weeks

Note: Teamflect does not support feedback requests without expiration.

Step 3: Enable or disable user overrides

You’ll also see the setting:
Allow users to override the default feedback request due dates

  • If enabled, users can adjust expiration when sending feedback

  • If disabled, users will not see the due date option during the feedback request process

HR-Focused Use Cases

Ensure timely responses during review cycles
Set a consistent expiration window to align with company-wide performance review deadlines.

Improve accountability in 360° processes
Allow managers to set shorter due dates when quick peer feedback is needed for evaluations or development planning.

Support flexible feedback collection in hybrid environments
Enable overrides for teams working across time zones or project-based workflows, giving managers control over timing.

Final Thoughts

The expiration date feature in Teamflect helps keep feedback timely and actionable. Admins can control the defaults and flexibility offered to users, ensuring the right balance between structure and adaptability in your feedback processes.
