How can I make goal comments private?

Restrict goal‑related comments to designated users. Manage privacy on a per‑goal basis to keep sensitive conversations confidential.

When creating a new goal, you can now choose whether that goal is completely private or only its comments are private. When completely private, a goal can only be visible to the people below:

  • Creator of the goal

  • Owner of the goal

  • Manager of the goal owner

  • Managers above them in the reporting line

  • Teamflect Admins

However, if you select the option to make only comments private, other people can view the created goal, but they cannot see the comments made about the goal.

Make Goal Comments Private in Teamflect

When you are creating a Public goal, you can toggle the ''Make comments private" option.

When this is enabled, your comment section will appear this way to other users:

    • Team leads working on strategic or competitive initiatives can collaborate on public goals while keeping tactical discussions private.

  3. Probation or PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) Tracking

    • HR and managers can track progress and leave comments related to performance improvement plans privately, ensuring discretion and compliance.
