Starting a review in Teamflect is simple and convenient. Administrators can now launch one-time reviews directly from the Reviews module in the app, without needing to access the Admin Center. This makes it easy to conduct quick performance check-ins, probation reviews, or project-based evaluations.

Step 1: Open the Reviews Module

  1. From Microsoft Teams, navigate to Teamflect → Reviews using the left navigation bar.

  2. Click the New Review button in the top right corner.

  3. From the dropdown, select New Review.

    • Only administrators will see this option.

    • Managers who click New Review will be directed to the Review Card for their direct reports instead.

Step 2: Add Reviewees and Reviewers

  1. In the editor, give your Review Cycle a name, then select a review template.

  2. A pop-up will open with empty Reviewee and Reviewer fields.

  3. Select a Reviewee:

    • Global Admins can select anyone in the organization.

    • Scoped Admins can select users within their scope.

  4. Once a Reviewee is chosen, their direct manager is automatically added as the Reviewer.

  5. You can manually change the Reviewer if needed.

💡 Tip: Use the Add Reviewee button to add multiple employees at once. Each click creates a new row with Reviewee and Reviewer fields. Rows can also be removed with the X button on the right.

Step 3: Configure Review Settings

Once Reviewees and Reviewers are set, configure additional details in the popup:

  • Review Period: Define the date range to be evaluated.

  • Notes to Reviewees: Add a message that will appear in the review notification (optional).

  • Due Dates: Set deadlines for the reviewee, the reviewer, and the finalization of the review.

Step 4: Review Template Details

On the right-hand side of the pop-up, you’ll see the template details, including:

  • The selected template name.

  • Visibility settings for the review.

  • Included review sections and questions.

  • A preview option to review questions before sending.

Step 5: Send Reviews

  1. The Send Reviews button updates based on the number of reviewees:

    • Example: If 2 reviewees are added, the button will display Send 2 reviews.

  2. If any Reviewee doesn’t have a Reviewer assigned, the button will be disabled.

    • Hovering over the button will display a tooltip: “Please select reviewer.”

  3. Once Reviewees and Reviewers are selected, click Send Reviews.

  4. A confirmation pop-up (“Are you sure?”) will appear.

  5. After confirming, the reviews are created successfully. A success popup will show a link to the review detail page in the Admin Center.

Mobile Experience

On mobile, Reviewee and Reviewer rows are displayed inside collapsible boxes for a cleaner view.

Use Cases

Admins can use one-time reviews in several scenarios:

  • Probation Reviews: Assess employees at the end of their probation period.

  • Project-Based Reviews: Evaluate contributions right after completing a major project.

  • Performance Check-Ins: Provide quick, ad-hoc reviews between regular review cycles.

Best Practice Recommendation

Use one-time reviews when you need flexibility or immediate feedback. For long-term performance tracking and consistency across teams, rely on scheduled review cycles instead.
