The Group Goals feature in Teamflect allows users to link individual goals to their Microsoft Teams groups. This makes it easier for project teams to track collective objectives, see shared progress, and stay aligned. However, using this feature requires administrator consent in Microsoft 365, which must be granted by your company’s IT or Microsoft 365 administrator.

How to See Group Goals in Teamflect:

1. In the Teamflect app > Goals Module > MS Teams Groups:

Note: If the Custom Goal Groups feature is enabled in Teamflect, the MS Teams Group tab will appear as “Groups,” where you can access both Goal Groups and MS Teams Groups.

To learn more about how to create and use Goal Groups, see the Custom Goal Groups article

2. When creating a new goal, select the "Related groups" this goal can be assigned to:

3. When using Microsoft Teams: click on Teams on the left rail, select the Microsoft Teams group and click on the Goals tab:

To use these functionalities, users need to use the drop-down menu inside a goal pop-up to select the relevant Microsoft Teams team. However, this functionality requires administrator consent, and administrator consent can only be given by the Microsoft 365 administrators of a company.

You can copy and share the content with your company's Microsoft 365 administrator: ''We would like to use the "Group goals" functionality in Teamflect, which will allow us to relate the goals that we track in Teamflect to our project teams in Microsoft Teams.''

Note: To give administrator consent, you can follow the instructions in this article here, or you can click this link to open your mail editor with the above content. Please don't forget to change the email address.

Beneficial Use Cases

  1. Align Project Teams with Shared Objectives
Granting admin consent allows users to link their goals to specific Microsoft Teams groups, facilitating alignment and tracking of project-related objectives.

  2. Enhance Cross-Department Collaboration
With admin consent, departments can set and monitor collective goals within Teams, promoting transparency and joint accountability across functions.

  3. Streamline Goal Management within Teams
Enabling this feature integrates goal tracking directly into Microsoft Teams, reducing context switching and centralizing goal management within the platform.
