When running a review cycle in Teamflect, you can directly pull in an employee’s goals as part of the evaluation. This ensures reviews are tied to real objectives and measurable progress rather than only generic questions.

With goal-related questions, you can:

  • Add an employee’s goals as a dedicated question set.

  • Decide whether to include subgoals, parent goals, or weighted goals.

  • Control who answers and who can see responses.

  • Filter which goal periods are included.

  • Choose the format for goal evaluation (free text, multiple choice, or rating).

Step 1 – Enable Goal Questions

In the Goal-related questions section, toggle Add goals owned by the reviewee as a question set.

Step 2 - Pick Question Type

Select how feedback should be given on goals:

  • Free form → Open text for qualitative input.

  • Multiple choice → Example: Satisfactory / Needs Improvement / Exceeds Expectations.

  • Rating → Numeric scoring (e.g., 1–5). Use the instructions field to explain the scale.

💡 You can also require conditional comments — for example, if someone gives a low rating (1/5), they must explain.

Step 3 – Assign Responders & Visibility

Decide who should answer the goal-related questions:

  • Reviewee

  • Reviewer

  • Both

Then configure visibility (who can see each other’s responses).

Step 4 – Apply Filters

Fine-tune which goals are pulled into the review:

  • Goal periods:

    • Only goals started and ended in the review period

    • All goals active during the review period

  • Goal types: Individual, Company, Department, or any custom types in your account.

  • Parent goals only: Focus on higher-level objectives.

  • Weighted goals: Pull in goals with custom weighting (e.g., 70% revenue, 30% development).

HR Use Cases

1. Quarterly Reviews

Bring in quarterly individual goals so employees can be assessed directly against their recent objectives.

2. Department-Level Reviews

Include weighted goals to evaluate contributions to shared team or departmental objectives.

3. Annual Performance Appraisals

Filter for parent goals only to focus on high-level priorities during year-end reviews.

Final Thoughts

By pulling goals directly into reviews, Teamflect helps ensure performance appraisals are objective, structured, and aligned with actual work delivered. With flexible filters and response formats, you can customize how goals are evaluated to match your organization’s performance culture.
