[FOR ADMINS] How does the 'minimum reporting group' function operate? What does it do?

If you're an admin looking to understand how the 'minimum reporting group' function in the Surveys module operates in our system, you've come to the right place. This feature allows you to tailor anonymous surveys based on the number of direct reports your managers have. Here's how it works:

Step 1: Visit the admin center at https://admin.teamflect.com.

Step 2: Navigate to the Surveys module.Click on the pen icon to edit your template.

Step 3: During the configuration of your survey templates, in the ‘’Visibility’’ settings, you'll find an option called 'Minimum reporting group'. This setting is designed for scenarios where managers have fewer than a specified number of direct reports.

Step 4: In the small box provided, enter the number that determines the minimum reporting group size. Users with fewer direct reports than this specified number will be affected by this setting and will not have the opportunity to conduct surveys anonymously, resulting in them accessing the survey responses.

Here are some use cases to illustrate how the 'minimum reporting group' function can be beneficial:

Use Case 1: Preserving Anonymity for Small Teams

Scenario: Some managers have very small teams, and anonymity is challenging to maintain in surveys.

Solution: By setting a minimum reporting group, you can disable anonymous surveys for managers with only a few direct reports.

Use Case 2: Customizing Survey Experiences

Scenario: You want to tailor the survey experience based on the size of the reporting group to optimize anonymity and feedback quality.

Solution: The 'minimum reporting group' function allows you to create a customized approach to surveys. It ensures that anonymity is protected where it matters most.

By using the 'minimum reporting group' function, you can fine-tune the survey process to suit the specific needs of your organization, ensuring that feedback remains valuable, honest, and meaningful for managers with different team sizes.
