How can I ask the goal owners for an update?

Keeping track of your team's progress on various goals is crucial for successful project management and overall productivity. Teamflect offers a convenient feature that allows managers to request updates directly from goal owners. This update request feature is particularly beneficial for managers as it enables them to keep track of their team's progress without constant follow-ups. It streamlines communication and ensures that all stakeholders stay informed about goal status and any potential roadblocks.

Step 1: Navigate to the Goals Module

Log in to your Teamflect account and access the Goals module from the main navigation menu on the left or dashboard.

Step 2: Locate the Desired Goal

Under the "My Team" tab or any other relevant tab, find the specific goal for which you need an update. You can use the search or filter options to quickly locate the goal you're interested in.

Step 3: Request Update

Once you've found the goal, look for the "Request Update" option under ''Last progress update'', on the right side of the goal details section. Click on this button to initiate the update request.

Step 4: Notify the Goal Owner

After clicking "Request Update," Teamflect will automatically notify the owner of the goal about your request. Optionally, you can add a personalized note.

Step 5: Provide the Update

Upon receiving the update request, the goal owner can proceed to provide the necessary information.

They have several options to update the goal status:

  • Changing the Status: The goal owner can modify the status of the goal, indicating whether it's in progress, completed, or delayed.
  • Updating the progress: If there are any changes or updates to the goal's details, the owner can make the necessary adjustments.
  • Leaving a Comment: The goal owner can also provide additional context or important details by leaving a comment on the goal.

By following these simple steps, you can efficiently request updates from goal owners in Teamflect, promoting transparency, collaboration, and better project management within your organization.

If you encounter any issues or need further assistance with this feature or any other aspect of Teamflect, refer to the official documentation or reach out to Teamflect's support team for prompt and helpful guidance.
